Chris Ward attended the St.Francis Xavier Golf Academy from 2009-2012 under the watchful eye of academy coordinator Jamey Bowen, Jamey gave nicknames to many of his students and quickly came up with “Wardo”, since then Chris has been known by many peers in the golf industry as “Wardo”.
Work & Educational Background
Chris is a proud member of the PGA of Canada going into his fourth season as an Assistant Golf Professional at the Edmonton Petroleum Golf & Country Club. He graduated from Grant MacEwan University in 2015 with a diploma in Professional Golf Management and is currently attending the JR Shaw School of Business at NAIT in Edmonton for his BBA Marketing Degree.
Chris’s professional background includes certification through the PGA of Canada instructional programs. Chris also has experience with Flightscope, Trackman, SNAG Golf, Swing Catalyst, V1 Golf, and SAM Putt Lab. Chris has completed club fitting certifications with Callaway, Ping, & Titleist.
Chris recently has received his Level One Titleist Performance Institute Certification
Chris has been instructing the game of golf for the better part of three years now and is always open to learning new skills to add to his portfolio. Chris has experience teaching junior golf camps ages 5-17, private and semi-private junior and adult lessons, Maximum Golf classes, & CN Junior Girls Golf Club camps.
